How soon can I get a Butter Mafia desserts delivery?
We offer next day delivery Tuesday to Friday for Local Delivery Orders. So long as orders are placed before 11.59pm, we can have them delivered the next business day.
Can I order online for delivery or in store pick up in a few days time or in advance?
Absolutely! You can pick a date in advance (up to 30 days), so you can plan ahead for birthdays or special occasions. We fulfil our orders on a first in best dressed basis. If and when we do run out (our dessert bars tend to take turns selling out as some of them take a few days to be made), we replace them with alternate dessert bars. We definitely recommend ordering in advance because there's less chance of you missing out.
Where are Butter Mafia desserts made?
All our desserts and bakes are made in our registered commercial kitchen in Northcote which is a dedicated Gluten Free Facility accredited by Coeliac Australia.
Can I speak to someone if I need help with my order?
Absolutely. Feel free to call us on (03) 9956 1156 during business hours. We are here to help and can also take orders over the phone.
Gluten Free
Are all your desserts Gluten Free?
100% Yes! Our kitchen is a dedicated Gluten Free zone and we do not have any ingredients containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley or oats) on site.
We also send our desserts for random lab testing and each and every time, our lab test results show no gluten detected.
We are accredited by Coeliac Australia so you can eat with confidence.
Do you have any vegan, egg, or dairy free options?
Yes we do! Our Lady Assassin is plant based, 100% Gluten Free and nut free. Our Henchmen Cookies are also Dairy Free and Gluten Free (they do contain peanuts). All the other desserts in our current range contain eggs, butter (dairy), sugar, chocolate and some have dairy in them. We update our VIPs through our newsletter and also through our socials so make sure you’re signed up (to our newsletter) and following us on socials so you don’t miss out.
Do you have any sugar free options?
Yes our savoury muffins are sugar free.
Do you have any Halal dessert options?
Yes we do! All ingredients used in our food are Halal. Our dessert bars, cakes, Henchmen cookies and savoury foods do not contain alcohol.
Best Way to Store Desserts
How long will my sweets last for once delivered?
Our dessert bars will last for at least 5 days if they’re stored refrigerated in an air-tight container. That’s if they’re not all eaten on the same day.
Our Henchmen Cookies will last for 10 days when stored refrigerated in an air-tight container. Best stored without anything else in the container as our Henchmen Cookies will absorb moisture from the surroundings. They'll go soft if stored with other desserts/cakes/brownies.
Gifts/ Personalised Messages
I am placing an order as a gift. Can you please include a message for me?
Yes we can. We can have any message you’d like included with your order. Please include your message in "Notes Field" before checking out on our online store.
Ingredients
What kinds of eggs do you use?
We only use fresh locally sourced Victorian eggs which we crack fresh each time we bake. Fresh is always best! And yes, there are many bakeries that use frozen or processed eggs that get poured out of a carton or goon bag. We aren't one of them!
Do your desserts contain nuts?
Yes some of them do. All our desserts follow our naming convention where the boys have nuts and the girls don’t. This just makes things a little fun!
Have Nuts: Henchmen Cookies (Peanuts), Friands, Selected Seasonal Bakes.
Do not contain nuts: The Secretary, Lady Assassin, Mob Wife, The Mistress, Gangsta Brownie.
While we clean down preparation surfaces with a commercial grade degreaser and sanitiser between batches and minimise cross contamination, we do have nuts stored on site.
Do your desserts contain any preservatives?
Absolutely not. We do not use preservatives in any of our desserts.
Do any of your desserts contain raw eggs?
No. All our desserts that contain eggs are cooked/baked.
Do you have any low FODMAP desserts?
Yes we do. Our Henchmen Cookies, Mob Wife and Brownies are low FODMAP based on their ingredients.
Some of our dessert bars contain sweetened condensed milk (SCM) and golden syrup (GS) which may not suit someone on a low FODMAP diet - The Mistress (SCM).
Special Orders
I love one of your desserts. Can I order it in a slab/cake for a special occasion?
Absolutely. We can make our dessert bars as slabs/cakes for birthdays, anniversaries or any other special occasion. Please give us as much notice as possible so we can plan our production. The dessert bars that we currently offer as slabs are Mob Wife (Raspberry Pate on Chocolate Mud) and The Mistress (Lemon and Passionfruit Curd on a Vanilla Biscuit Base).
Can you cut up your dessert bars for me so I can have them served finger food style?
Yes we can. This is a custom order so please give us advance notice when contacting us.
We charge a surcharge for this service as each dessert bar needs to be hand cut with a hot knife which is wiped cleaned before each cut.
Due to time constraints, we may not always be able to provide this service. The best way to arrange this is to contact us directly to confirm that we are able to do this for you.
I would love to have your desserts at my wedding/engagement/birthday party. Can you cater for this?
Yes we can. Please give us as much notice as possible so we can work this into our production plan as all our desserts are made fresh and contain no preservatives.
Walk Ins
Do you have a storefront that I can walk in and buy from?
Yes we do! You can walk in and get your desserts to go from us. Our Northcote shop is open from 9am to 4pm on Tuesdays to Fridays and from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays.

Minimum Orders
Is there a minimum order for delivery?
At the moment, we have a $45 minimum order for deliveries. For more information, see here.
Is there a minimum order for Click and Collect/ Store Pick Up?
No. Now that we are open for walk ins, there is no minimum order for Click and Collect orders. Our dessert bars are only available in bundles on our online store. You can pick and choose individual bars in store.
Deliveries
Do you do same day deliveries?
At the moment, we offer next business day deliveries for Melbourne metro areas. Please refer to our Melbourne Deliveries Page for more information. We may be able to deliver on the same day for you. The best way to arrange this is by calling us on (03) 9956 1156.
Can I book in delivery for a particular time?
At the moment, we do not offer this service. We make best efforts to get all our deliveries delivered between 8.30am to 6pm. If you’d like to know the ETA, please feel free to give us a call on your delivery day.
Do you deliver on weekends?
At the moment, we only deliver from Tuesday to Friday.
Do you deliver to Regional Victoria?
Not at the moment. We have stopped this service effective from September 2026.
Can I place one order for two separate deliveries?
We are only able to provide one delivery per order. If you'd like two separate deliveries, this will require you to place two separate online orders.

Can I change my delivery address and/or delivery date?
Yes you can. The best thing is to give us a call on (03) 9956 1156 during business hours and we can amend your order for you. Please give us as much notice as possible.
Shipping
Do you ship your desserts interstate?
Only for select non-perishable products at the moment.
Who do you use for shipping?
We use Australia Post to ship our orders.
